Great news for Red House!

Red House 2000, led by the talented Theobald Mtema, has just received a a $500 gift from an anonymous donor.

The gift happened after the donor visited Red House at work and was tremendously impressed by the work being done there. The donation was made through the Argentarius Foundation in London, and it will be paid out to Red House in Dar es Salaam in Tanzanian shillings -- we hope this weekend.

One of the simplest ways you can help us is to give us your out-of-date mobile phone.

If it's a GSM phone (standard outside Japan and America), then we can give it to our partner organizations in Dar es Salaam.

They use the phones to run their organizations or to start microcredit businesses, in which local people (usually women) buy prepaid minutes  and then resell them at a profit to friends and neighbours.
